I gave everything a 10/10 except for the art, which got 7/10.

    Anyway, where should I start?

This is a masterpiece, and I will tell you why:

    Story: 10/10

Genius. The creator thought it all up. The world of HXH makes you realize many things about our own world and questions many of our morals and mentalities. This masterpiece was elegantly written with no fillers, and every action counts. The reactions to events are realistic. This manga leaves you in an emotional wreck: there are funny moments, heartwarming moments, and very dark moments when you least expect them. The plot devices were well placed and not just there for the sake of being there. The problem with the manga is the long hiatuses, but even so, we can never deny this awesome manga.

Art: 7/10 (the first 4 arcs), 6.5/10 (the Greed Island arc), 3/10 (the Chimera Ant arc), then back to 7/10 at the last arc:

The art at first was decent but then turned appalling. However, the story made up for the art because nobody would want to miss such a genius story no matter what.

    Character: 12/10

Gon: He isn't the typical protagonist with a tragic backstory who wants to pursue his goal to prove something. He's a curious kid abandoned by his father, leading him to question what's so great about being a hunter, and this is his goal: wanting to know the charm of being a hunter. His character seems simple at first, but read carefully, and you'll see he isn't the typical "simple naive kid who helps everybody because he's a good kid who believes we need to help others." True, he has a great personality, but he's also very flawed.

Killua: Tragic backstory, but as you get to know him, he's not what he seems. I can't say more without spoiling the fun of finding out.

Kurapika: He has the typical tragic-hero backstory but doesn't act like a typical hero. He is pursuing his goal, but I won't spoil it. I have many things to say about each character, but THEY WILL BE SPOILERS!!!...

Leorio: He is the most normal of them all. His tragic backstory is something that happens every day and can happen to any person. Also, don't want to spoil anything.

As for the other characters, they are all a mix of people that seem unrealistic, but this is not true... You can find many of their traits in people you know or even yourself... For example, what they do, we don't really do in real life, but if given the freedom, we might do it.

    Enjoyment: 10/10

Not a moment felt too dull. The story is so well-written that even with the bad art in the Chimera Ant arc, you still want to read it. The way every character and event is portrayed makes you look back and think about many things. I loved and enjoyed this manga so much.

    Overall: 10/10

The art was decent at first, but he needs to hire an assistant because doing all the art himself means he can't meet deadlines, and the quality of his art drops so fast in the 6th arc... Anyway, this is not the point.

This manga can't deserve any lower than this. Even with the quality of art at the end and his loooong hiatuses, it can't be less than a 10.

This is one of the most underrated manga I've ever read. The characters are exceptionally well-developed, and you'll find yourself loving both the heroes and villains. While many view this as a typical shonen battle manga, it transcends that genre at several points. Some parts of the story challenge the main or secondary characters to use their intellect rather than brute strength to defeat their enemies.

Each arc has its unique style and objectives, ensuring that the story remains engaging and never boring. This manga is truly great; some might even call it legendary. However, it does have its drawbacks. At times, the story drags on for several chapters with long speeches and, in some cases, no illustrations, which may deter casual readers looking for a fast-paced narrative. Yet, the author rewards patience with incredible moments at the end of each arc.

The manga contains some gory scenes, so be cautious if you're not into that type of content. I highly recommend that casual readers start with the 2011 anime adaptation, as it's the best version of the story. But if you're a hardcore manga reader like me who hasn't yet picked up this series, I strongly suggest reading it because it's one of the greatest manga out there.

A word of warning: this story is unfinished and may never be completed, so be mindful of that if you dislike open-ended narratives.
