This is my approach to the series: Manga(so that you can have alot of kumoko action)---Anime(so you canget a grasp of the timeline)---WN(so you can get some interesting stories that we're not on the anime, manga, LN)(and i thought the anime and manga follows the WN)---LN(apparently the manga and anime follows the LN)(i'm currently reading it)

The old version was much better. Slower paced for world building and was more slice of life while maintaining the action here and there. This one is just rushed and passing everything so it can get to the slightly cooler parts and action then rush again when its over. The only problem the other one had was the art and maybe too much attention to detail but I rather have that than a generic isekai and clearly rushed production.
You wanna know what I'm really not interested in? The fucking rice and egg Japanese culinary bullshit that is in about 2/3 of isekai.
