To be fair. I wasn't watching anime when the series came out.But when I watched it I loved it. Then I started reading this manga and finally I read the Light Novel. Knowing what happens in the light novel, I can say there were some changes in the anime that I don't think they would've been able to recover if they continued the adaptation. Some of the changes they made, ruin some of the plot moving forward. While I'm sad there's no season 2, I think if they do an anime they should redo season 1. Cause otherwise they would probably ruin the series.

He's not inadequate though. She doesn't like him for his power. She likes him because he's fun to hang around with and she knows how much he genuinely cares for her. I 100% think he'll either get his turbo granny powers back or something else to keep him in the fights, but to say he's inadequate as a boyfriend without powers is wrong imo.
