it's one of the mandatory logical inconsistencies in the story.  but it also seems that goblins have gotten a lot more serious in the last years in the story and that some big bad is organizing / driving them in some way.

This is nice. The author could show more Yeri though. I think I preferred the daily life part of working at the dumpling place than the current fights. I hope Yeri gets more screen time from now on. A lot of Gang Yong's backstory is being explored though so nice. Now they need to explain the relationship between the Ice Jade Empress and Yeri. If they are related then why did the Empress not do anything when the things happened to Yeri? I want to know Yeri's full backstory. They only dedicated a few panels early on to her backstory but they keep mentioning it. I don't expect it to happen anytime soon though. It would be after this arc probably when Yeri and the Empress have time to talk.

I'm a casual Ippo reader/watcher. I enjoy the characters and the actions so long as it relates to the boxing matches and the preparation for the matches.

Makes me wanna kill the main character more than anything. It's the same reason I hate "redo of a healer", well... ONE of the reasons I hate "redo of a healer"...

Evil main characters are okay, when there is "proper" justification and they're not necessarily "evil" within their own mind, just seeking solutions in ways that makes them lose their reputation in front of others, or in ways that don't necessarily take others into account. Evil characters stop being okay to me, when they're just axiomatically reprehensible/disgusting and they just inflict suffering for suffering's sake.
This is the latter and while the ability of the main character is a dumbass incel fantasy and a proper disqualifier in the first place, the mentality of the main character just makes me wonder the sanity of the people enjoying things like this.
