I dont think it's that confusing, often manga like this end with "the characters got together yaaaay" but have no afterward where the mangaka just makes chapters about their daily life, with among losing his memory it gives the mangaka time to explore life after the story in a much more relaxed way but also keeps the mangakas manager from cutting it short cause we need to see among get his memory for that
