Nope. He was using up his chakra completely, which would end is his "death", but bijuu chakra cannot be destroyed, only dispersed. It will always reform later, but nobody knows how long or where it will take shape again. Because Boruto and Himawari both have tiny amounts of Kurama chakra (they both have the telltale whisker marks), Kuruma's dispersed chakra simply was attracted to and reformed quickly in Himawari. She always loved Kurama since birth and being conceived while infused with some of his chakra, her affinity is the highest of any jinchuriki in history. Boruto would likely have received the chakra as well, but he never really fangirled over Kurama like Himawari did, so she was like a magnet for it. She'll likely continue to get stronger and stronger as more of Kurama's chakra returns.
