Man, this manga it's a mixed bag of feelings for me I can't straight up say it's a good manga but also not a bad one, it's just there and there's so many reasons for it.
If you are new to the Break Blade/Broken Blade series honestly watch the anime movies firsts: They are ridiculously high quality and they cover a 2/3 of the manga so far.

Shiggy may have been made in the far off future to somehow travel to the past and find baby shiki probably how everyone is dead tbh. Like terminator 2. Save john Connor. The programming kicked in the moment he touched shiki....so it may have been shiki himself. This shiggy knew of mother before she was born. It could be that every planet can overdrive and "mother" is potentially in all of them...Thats all I got lol

At this point I'm keep reading it just to see the end
