The implication of there not being any stragglers is that you will have to deal with a sizeable coordinated group of them at once in order to fight any of them. You can still probably make due at this point being aware that there is a barrier keeping them at bay with magic and archery, but I imagine both have rather limited supply. As well, since they believe it to be some strange unknown spell, they might be warry that attacking the monsters could break its effect on them. While thinning their numbers could be useful in the long run it won't ever completely solve the issue since there are monsters beyond the capabilities of all but a few (with limited recourses) to deal with at range. This means that there is risk involved in attacking as well as garenteed loss of resources without much in the way of benefits. Unless the egg is dealt with or rendered a non-issue they will die regardless.

I read till chap 35 around 1-2years ago
I did like the story and I don't care that the characters look slightly chibi'fied (they don't look like kids at least)
usually in most stories, it ends when the mc chooses the girl or kisses or fucks ffs
regardless, MC has a harem and fucks most of the girls and the story continues which is something I wanted in most stories

I'll pick it back up and do a re-read when more chapters are out.
but was curious if the story fell that hard to get a 6.38/10 (Myanimelist rating)?
