The main character of the series, known as Serena in the English dub (nicknamed Bunny in the manga). Usagi is a carefree schoolgirl with an enormous capacity for love and transforms into the heroine called Sailor Moon. Initially, she is portrayed as an immature crybaby who dislikes fighting. However, throughout the series, her sweet and selfless side becomes evident. Usagi can be selfish, lazy, clumsy, and struggles academically. She's also not good at cooking. Despite these flaws, she deeply cares for her friends and family.
Usagi is very trusting and believes that everyone has a better nature. She refuses to harm innocent people, even when they have been transformed into vicious monsters, and always seeks ways to help them instead. Over time, Usagi matures significantly. Although she still exhibits some childish behavior and silliness, she evolves into a capable young woman.
