giou takashiro

Takashiro is initially introduced as Yuki's older half-brother. Upon their first meeting, he informs Yuki that he and their father had been searching for him since his birth fifteen years ago. Takashiro also serves as the head of the Giou clan. Though not yet disclosed, Takashiro appears to be concealing something from Yuki and the other Guardians. The truth is, he performed a forbidden ritual that enabled him to host a dura within his body. This act has allowed him to remain un-reincarnated, unlike the other Zweilt Guardians. Instead, he has lived for a thousand years, retaining all his memories, including those of how the war with the duras first began. He also possesses an almost instantaneous healing ability after being injured. Takashiro believes that sacrifices are necessary to win the war. He owns a magic book similar to Kanata's, but his is red. It has been mentioned that Reiga was once his friend. During a battle with Reiga, it is shown that Takashiro can regenerate himself without any assistance. Later, he reveals to Yuki that he used a forbidden spell on himself to embed a dura inside his body, which grants him healing powers and immortality, allowing him to live over 1000 years. He is also responsible for continually causing Yuki and the Zweilt to reincarnate so they can keep fighting Reiga. Takashiro then apologizes for lying to Yuki, admitting that he is not truly Yuki's brother. However, Yuki forgives him, stating that despite this, Takashiro is still very important to him.
