Saeko's father holds the position of police chief, granting her some flexibility in her work methods. However, outside of her professional life, he pressures her to get married.
In the spin-off series "Angel Heart," Saeko is depicted as the former chief of police who once dated Hideyuki Makimura and seemed to be anticipating his proposal. In later parts of the story, it is suggested that Saeko secretly dreams of having a normal family with Ryo, indicating a shift in her romantic inclinations.
