Nozomu's younger sister, a seventeen-year-old master of ikebana. When her name is written horizontally, it resembles "zetsurin" ("unequaled"), reflecting her extraordinary talents in various fields. However, referring to her as "zetsurin" infuriates her because the term is often used as slang for sexual prowess. She has expressed her readiness to marry outside the Itoshiki family in hopes of shedding her unwanted name. Rin eventually transfers to Nozomu's school and joins his class, where she frequently turns her back to the readers/audience (a parody of Shin-chan, who is also voiced by Akiko Yajima). Interestingly, she owns a chocolate factory.
