Ptolemy is a saint who adheres strictly to the commands he receives. When the four Bronze Saints arrive at the Sanctuary alongside Athena, Ptolemy is there to welcome them, disguised. Initially, he informs them about what lies ahead within the 12 temples. However, as they approach the Aries temple, he uncovers his true identity and assaults them with a barrage of phantom arrows. The Bronze Saints quickly discern that these arrows are mere illusions, and Seiya overcomes him effortlessly. Yet, there is one genuine golden arrow that Ptolemy had launched, striking Saori directly in the chest. Before succumbing to his fate, Ptolemy warns them that they must reach Pope Ares within less than 12 hours so he can remove the arrow before it pierces Saori's heart.
