princess dia

Princess Dia was the shy, bespectacled princess from the D Kingdom, also known as the Diamond Kingdom in the anime. She appeared in episode 22 of the anime series and Act 4 of the manga. Princess Dia possessed a renowned crystal that Luna and Queen Beryl suspected might be the Silver Crystal, which would make her the Moon Princess. For a brief period, she was controlled by Nephrite's shadow. However, it was revealed that her crystal was actually a statue of herself in both the anime and original manga, or a statue of the D Kingdom's first princess in the revised manga. Clearly, she was not the Moon Princess. Princess Dia was one of the few minor characters to appear in both the anime and the manga.
