Master Pharaoh 90 is a malevolent alien from the "Tau Ceti Star System;" its exact origins remain unknown. It appears as a massive black sphere with tentacles.
In the manga, Pharaoh 90 aims to merge with planet Earth to make it its new home. In contrast, in the anime, its goal is to destroy Earth by bringing about the Silence. Pharaoh 90 provided the daimon egg of Mistress 9 to Professor Tomoe, exploiting his desire to save his daughter. In reality, this was done to create a host body for Mistress 9, who would then open a portal for Pharaoh 90.
In the anime, Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn destroyed Pharaoh 90. However, in the manga, Sailor Saturn drove it back to Tau Ceti, and Sailor Pluto sealed it away forever. Like other major villains in the manga, Pharaoh 90 is later revealed to be an incarnation of Chaos, the ultimate enemy of the series.
