nekogami-sama

Neko-gami-sama is a cat-like being who frequently resides inside a vending machine, warming the drinks to "body temperature." He often employs mysterious powers to play pranks on Mesousa, such as making him fall into holes that appear out of nowhere. His catchphrase involves ending sentences with "-desu nya," where "nya" is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat's meow; in English, this translates to "meow." In each episode, his fur changes color, and in the final episode, there's a scene where he continuously changes colors. When Neko-gami-sama can't watch over the vending machines, he asks others to take over until he returns; Mesousa did this in one anime episode. Neko-gami-sama has an elder brother who looks almost identical but wears yellow glasses and appears in the 25th episode as a true god inside Ichijou's box.
