Naru begins the series as Usagi's best friend at school. Her mother runs a jewelry store, and Naru becomes the target of several Youma attacks.
She falls in love with Nephrite, who sacrifices his life to protect her from Zoisite. Later in the series, she finds love again with Gurio.
