Morga was a Youma summoned by Jadeite to siphon energy from unsuspecting women, part of the Dark Kingdom's ongoing efforts to gather energy. She made her appearance in both the first anime episode and the first manga act.
As part of Jadeite's scheme, Morga locked Naru's mother in the basement and took her place at the jewelry store. She put cursed jewelry on sale at very low prices. This jewelry was designed to drain energy from its wearers, and many women were lured in by the discounts, making the plan highly effective. Once all the victims had been drained of their energy, Morga transformed into her true form—an ugly creature with brown skin and messy brown hair. Her body was extremely flexible, allowing her to twist her neck completely around and stretch her arms to incredible lengths.
When Naru discovered that her "mother" was an impostor, Morga attacked her. After Sailor Moon transformed for the first time, she realized Naru was in danger and arrived just in time to save her friend. Morga then used the energy-drained women as zombie-like soldiers to attack Sailor Moon. Unsure of what to do, Sailor Moon began to cry, causing her red odango covers to emit supersonic waves. This weakened Morga and her servants enough for Sailor Moon to destroy the Youma with her tiara attack.
