Misuzu is Hiroshi's tough and pretty younger sister. As a no-nonsense individual, she takes on the roles of vice-president and assistant director in the Film Studies Club. Unlike many other female characters in the story, she doesn't develop feelings for Manaka, finding his indecisiveness with women unbearable. Initially, she found Manaka intriguing because of his critical views on movies. Although she downplays Manaka's role in the club, she later admits to herself that his achievement in building the club from scratch is truly impressive, whereas she considers herself merely "all talk." Misuzu greatly admires Toujo for her writing skills. In an extra chapter at the end of the manga, Misuzu falls in love with an aspiring mangaka. Despite frequent arguments with Kitaoji, they both end up living in Kyoto after graduation and always stay in touch.
