Known for his honor, impeccable conduct, and deep devotion to Athena, Milo was considered, alongside Leo Aiolia, as the pride of the Sanctuary. As a Gold Saint, he was loyal to Athena and thus obedient to the false Pope of Sanctuary, though he had doubts about the Pope's legitimacy. During the conflict at the twelve temples, Milo initially opposed the Bronze Saints' uprising, as the Pope Saga deceived him into believing they were traitors and Saori Kido was an impostor claiming Athena's name. Engaged in a fierce duel with Cygnus Hyōga, the battle became so intense that Milo was forced to use his deadly move Antares on Hyōga for the first time. Mortally wounded, Hyōga struggled desperately to save the injured Saori's life. Moved by Hyōga's determination and loyalty, Milo realized these could only stem from devotion to the true Athena. He neutralized Antares' effects to save Hyōga's life and confirmed his suspicions. After Saga's defeat, Milo pledged loyalty to Saori Kido, recognizing her as the true Athena. During the holy war against Poseidon, Milo was eager to invade the Submarine Temple to join the fight against Poseidon's Marina Generals and save the Bronze Saints' lives. However, Aries Mu restrained him, as the Gold Saints were crucial for the upcoming war against Hades, which broke out within weeks. In the war against Hades, Milo protected Athena and subjected Gemini Kanon to a rigorous test to prove his devotion to the goddess, eventually recognizing him as a true Gold Saint. Later, Milo was defeated by Wyvern Rhadamanthys and thrown into the Cocytos prison. In the climax of the battle, Milo was revitalized by Athena's Cosmo and offered his life along with his fellow Gold Saints in the final sacrifice to pierce the impenetrable Wailing Wall.
