Kasane, a survivor of the Shishigou incident, is Asumi's childhood friend. Due to the crash, she bears a severe burn mark on her left arm. In the present timeline, Kasane attends an all-girls school. In the manga, she is first seen again sleeping in Asumi's dorm room, which occurs several volumes after her return in the anime.
