He questions whether he will be consumed by his memories or his hate. In the manga, it is explained that the soul power of half-Duras Reiga was too strong for his previous fully human incarnations to handle until they matured, which is why his power and memories as Reiga were sealed until his physical body could endure the strain of all his power. In chapter 61, it is revealed that Yomi's death was the reason Reiga sided with the Demons. Although his love for Yomi was unrequited, he did not kill her but took the blame for her death. Since the Elders were responsible for killing her, he began to hate the Giou Clan. Currently, it is known that Reiga (Kanata) plans to resurrect her.
