eudial

Eudial (known as Eugeal in the English dub) is the first and possibly the leader of the Witches 5. She makes her first attack against the Sailor Senshi in episode 103. Her name originates from the mineral eudialyte. In the anime, Eudial appears to be the oldest member of the group and is often resented by the others, especially Mimete, due to Professor Tomoe's apparent favoritism towards her. A brilliant inventor, she can construct and modify weaponry and computer technology using everyday items. For instance, her Fire Buster weapon is made from a blender and a vacuum cleaner hose. Her affinity with machines also allows her to modify her computer to track potential Talisman holders, stealing their pure hearts with a specialized gun and using Daimons to complete the task. The other members refer to her as Chief. Eudial is generally calm and level-headed, except when driving. In several episodes, she nearly runs people over because the car emerges from underground tunnels in illogical locations. She wields a deadly shoulder-mounted flamethrower called the Fire Buster (later upgraded to Fire Buster II) and later in the series sets traps in the under-construction Marine Cathedral. She manages to obtain two of the Talismans but loses them to Sailor Pluto. Enraged, she tries to escape in her car, only to discover that Mimete has removed its brakes and filled it with snails (referred to as "acid snails" in the dubbed version, which supposedly dissolve the brakes). The car crashes off a highway into the sea below, killing her instantly. In the manga, she uses the alias Yuko Arimura and leads Good Etiquette in the Philosophy division at Infinity Academy, holding a rank of Level 78. She takes some students on a retreat to "Mount M" and attempts to remove their Hostes during orientation. Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter confront her, and Sailor Mars uses her 'Mars Snake Fire' attack, transforming Eudial into a monster resembling a Gorgon with a black star on its forehead. She is ultimately killed by Sailor Moon. Although not used in the manga, her strongest attack, according to the Materials Collection, is called "Fire Buster."
