The Boule Brothers, Chiral and Achiral (known as Doom and Gloom in the English dub), are minor antagonists from the Black Moon Clan. They serve under Green Esmeraude and even appear on her page in the Materials Collection art book. Their roles are more significant in the manga, while in the anime, they are merely monsters of the day.
In the manga, the brothers are tasked with greeting the Sailor Senshi upon their arrival in Crystal Tokyo. They create a mirror-image replica of the Crystal Palace to trap the Senshi. When Sailor Moon attacks them, she is paralyzed by a magnetic field generated by a man-made crystal at her feet. However, Tuxedo Mask destroys the crystal through sheer willpower, and the brothers are ultimately killed by him and Sailor Venus.
In the anime, the brothers are used to grow "Dark Henges" at Juuban Park and Juuban Elementary School. They cause all the students and teachers at the school to fight each another viciously and constantly. Additionally, they attack Chibiusa's best friend, Momoko, leading Chibiusa to reveal her identity as "The Rabbit" to the Black Moon Clan.
