Ayano is a high school freshman. She is engaged to Yunoki and was described as a beauty when Kahoko first saw her. Ayano is one of the candidates chosen by Yunoki's grandmother for his engagement; she has been captivated by him since childhood and resolved to marry him. However, Yunoki does not share this enthusiasm and seeks Kahoko's assistance to discourage Ayano by pretending Kahoko is his lover.
