    If I would have to say, the magic here is manipulating the natural state of things, water is a pretty simple element to control, it has set characteristics that are easy to comprehend and command, the human body... yeah, not so much.

    There are many things in the human body that are extremely complicated to say the least, and certain characteristics change with age, race, and individual.

    So yeah, I kinda understand why this magic in particular was banned from being used. Still, it does limit many things, many that would help people, but fear of the consequences is still high in this society.
