William leaving his glove behind so Emma could come after him is such a smooth move.

                        Crystal Palace?  Sydenham?  This manga is too close for comfort!  Anyway, a decent beginning.  Couldn't find any fault with the introduction to the period and characters.  The guy is quite the player...the old forgot-me-glove trick, eh?

He certainly is wily. :)

And the madam, she wasn't introduced properly yet, catched up on his motives instantly and let Emma go after him. Ah, playing cupid in the first chapter, how sweet. :-)
